About this range

Metal processing covers two very different jobs. At a single station — laser scribing, drilling, welding, deburring, metal AM — what matters is negative pressure at the nozzle, which is what the compact D series delivers at up to 10000 Pa. On a full cutting bed, what matters is volume and continuous running, which is why the industrial D units use a self-cleaning cartridge bank. The DFS series covers carbon fibre, composites and laser cleaning, where the dust is abrasive, conductive or still burning.

How a PURE-AIR unit cleans the air. Only stage 1 changes between series — that is what you are choosing when you pick FS, FGS, DFS or FVS.

Two different jobs. Negative pressure captures at the source; airflow clears a volume. Buying on m³/h alone gets the wrong machine.

PPS — standard control

models without the “i” suffix

Runningspeed 3 / 5
  • Start / stop, speed steps
  • Filter replacement warning
  • Colour LCD screen (from 15.09.2026)

PIPS — intelligent control

−8 600 Pa at the inlet

filter life 65%

  • Airflow held steady as the filter loads
  • Air-quality sensors with alarm thresholds
  • I/O and RS-485 — starts with the machine

Both are current models. PIPS earns its place where the unit runs unattended, feeds a line, or has to prove it is working.

What the operator sees. The “i” suffix is the control system, not a newer machine.

Then size it: the machine bed decides the airflow — 30×40 cm needs 300 m³/h, 130×250 cm needs 2400 m³/h.

The material decides the filter. Picking by airflow alone is the mistake that blinds a filter in weeks.

Frequently asked questions

Does the extractor need anything upstream?

On metal work, yes: a spark arrestor. A spark that reaches the element burns through it, and the filter behind it stops being a filter. On carbon fibre, earth the ducting as well — that dust conducts.

Where does the filtered air go?

Back into the room. The mobile units are recirculating, so there is no duct to the outside and no heated air thrown away in winter. The central industrial units are ducted to the machine enclosure and need a compressed-air line for their self-cleaning cartridges.

What maintenance does it need day to day?

Check the element is seated and sealed before running. When the blockage alarm shows, replace it then — running on past it pushes fume into the fan and the control board, which turns a filter change into a repair.
