About this machine

The PA-D800i is a high-vacuum dust and fume collector for metal work at a single station: laser scribing and drilling, laser and TIG welding, deburring and metal additive manufacturing. The point of the D series is negative pressure - up to 10000 Pa - so the dust is caught at the nozzle before it has a chance to disperse. 800 m³/h.

Filtration

  • Flame retardant PTFE cartridge pre-filter
  • H14 deeppleat filter, 99.99% @ 0.3 um
  • Treated activated carbon available as an option

Key specifications

  • Airflow: 800 m³/h
  • Maximum negative pressure: 10000 Pa
  • Rated power: 1.3 kW
  • Power supply: 90-110 V / 210-257 V, 1 ph, 50/60 Hz
  • Noise level: below 62 dBA at 1 m
  • Dimensions (W x D x H): 500 x 597 x 1296 mm
  • Net weight: 86 kg
  • Inlet: 100 / 125 mm
  • Cabinet: Powder coated mild steel / brushed stainless steel

Recommended for

  • Laser scribing and drilling stations
  • Laser and manual welding benches
  • Metal AM / powder-bed printers and depowdering stations
  • CNC deburring and dry machining cells

Intelligent version (PIPS)

This is the i version of the model. It adds the Pure-Air Intelligent Purification System: an industrial touch screen that shows real airflow and negative pressure in real time, a filter health manager that warns before a stage blocks, and automatic airflow compensation so extraction does not fade as the filter loads. I/O and RS-485 allow remote start/stop, linkage with the host machine or robot and centralised control of several units. PM2.5, VOC and O3 sensors are available as an option, and firmware updates are loaded from a TF card.

Installation

Positioned at the process, not at the wall: these are high-vacuum units and their value is capture at source through a nozzle, hood or the machine's own port. Keep the duct short. On metal powder work, earth the ducting and the unit. Leave the front clear for cartridge and dust-drawer access.

  1. Clean air out · brushless fanpulls through every stage
  2. Stage 3 · activated carbonholds VOC and odour
  3. Stage 2 · HEPA H1499.99% @ 0.3 µm
  4. Stage 1 · Cartridge bankself-cleaning, pulse-jet
  5. Contaminated air inducted from the machine; dust drawer emptied from the front
Inside the cabinet. Only stage 1 changes between series: pleated F9 on FS, anti-stick PTFE on FGS and flame retardant PTFE on DFS.

Frequently asked questions

What is it for?

The PA-D800i is a high-vacuum dust and fume collector for metal work at a single station: laser scribing and drilling, laser and TIG welding, deburring and metal additive manufacturing, including depowdering stations and dry machining cells. Listed materials are carbon and stainless steel, copper, solar cells, PCB, glass and ceramics.

Why does negative pressure matter here?

Because the job is capture at source. The PA-D800i pulls 800 m³/h at up to 10,000 Pa, so dust is caught at the nozzle before it disperses. Place the unit at the process, not at the wall, and connect through a nozzle, hood or the machine's own port to a 100 mm / 125 mm inlet, with the duct kept short.

How does the filtration work?

A flame retardant PTFE cartridge pre-filter takes the bulk of the dust, then an H14 deeppleat filter (99.99% @ 0.3 µm) catches the fine fraction. Treated activated carbon is available as an option. Tell us the process and the materials you work, and we will say whether you need the carbon stage.

Can it be used on metal powder?

It is recommended for metal AM, powder-bed printers and depowdering stations. On metal powder work, earth both the ducting and the unit. Note that the PA-D800i is not explosion-proof, so send us the powder type and quantities you handle and we will review the application with you.

What does it need on site?

A 90–110 V or 210–257 V single-phase, 50/60 Hz supply for a rated power of 1.3 kW, and floor space for a unit of 500 × 597 × 1296 mm (W × D × H) weighing 86 kg net. Noise is below 62 dB(A) at 1 m. Leave the front clear for access to the filter and the dust drawer.

What does the intelligent control add?

The PA-D800i has PIPS intelligent control compared with the standard PA-D800: an industrial touch screen showing real airflow and negative pressure in real time, a filter health manager that warns before a stage blocks, and automatic airflow compensation so extraction does not fade as the filter loads. I/O and RS-485 allow remote start/stop, linkage with the host machine or robot and centralised control of several units. PM2.5, VOC and O3 sensors are optional, and firmware updates load from a TF card.
