DTF-Z600 Pro Max Direct-to-Film Transfer Printer
The DTF-Z600 Pro Max is an industrial direct-to-film printer built for continuous production of heat-transfer prints on textiles. Two Epson i3200 A1 piezo printheads lay down CMYK plus white across a print width of 600 mm, on rolls up to 100 m long, at up to 13 m²/h in the four-pass production mode.
The machine works roll-to-roll, so printing, adhesive powder application and curing run as one uninterrupted chain rather than as separate manual stages. The powder and curing unit has air filtration, which keeps loose adhesive powder out of the working area — a practical consideration when the printer runs for hours at a time next to other equipment.
White is the ink that gives trouble in DTF work, because the pigment settles. Here the white circuit recirculates from the tank all the way to the printhead, keeping the pigment in suspension and reducing the settling that otherwise blocks nozzles during idle periods. Ink is supplied from a CISS bulk system without chips, and the supplied ICC profiles are built to keep ink consumption down at a given coverage.
Installation is modest for a machine of this output: a floor area of roughly 4 × 2 m and one operator to handle material and run the job. The working environment should be held at 18 – 30 °C and 35 – 65% relative humidity; supply is 220 V with a consumption of 5700 W. The catalogue puts the consumable cost at 3.50 €/m² at average photographic coverage, counting DTF film, powder and ink together.
The printer suits garment decorators and promotional personalisation workshops that need a steady flow of transfers in mixed, small runs rather than one long job, and that want the printing and powdering stages in a single line.
