MINGDA AD-F4 · consumables

Consumables and spare parts for the MINGDA AD-F4

Everything the AD-F4 uses after installation, on one page: the filament for the letter, the liquid acrylic and the pastes for cast faces, the bed adhesive and the 0.8 mm nozzle. Next to each one we say what it is for, so you know what to order for the letters you make. All of them are kept in stock in Bucharest.

We do not list prices here: tell us what you need and we include it in your offer, next to the printer.

For every letter

AdPETG Tough filament

The filament the AD-F4 prints with: a modified PETG developed by MINGDA for channel letters, which bends instead of cracking and does not yellow outdoors. Spools of 1 kg, 1.75 mm. It comes in two types, and the four-spool system of the printer can use both in the same letter.

AdPETG vs ASA: the material in detail

For the cast face

Liquid acrylic (resin), 25 kg

Liquid acrylic based on PMMA and MMA. It is poured into a printed outline on the glass of the MINGDA MD-C02 and cured with UVA light: the result is a solid acrylic face, without cutting and gluing. Three versions:

  • Liquid acrylic White, 25 kg canister

    White

Milky white, with diffusion agents: the face spreads the light of the LEDs evenly. The usual choice for illuminated letters with a white face.

  • Liquid acrylic with adjustable colour, 25 kg canister

    Adjustable colour

White before tinting; you give it the colour of the project with Color Paste. For faces in a brand colour.

  • Liquid acrylic Transparent, 25 kg canister

    Transparent

Cures fully clear. For faces that should stay clear and for transparent joins.

For colour

Color Paste: pastes for tinting the acrylic

Concentrated acrylic pigment paste. You add it to the liquid acrylic before pouring and get the face in the colour you need; the pastes can be mixed with each other for custom shades. A small test pour lets you fine-tune the colour before the full batch.

For the first layer

Bed adhesive for 3D printers, 250 ml

Applied on the print bed before printing. It holds the first layer firmly, so the corners of large letters do not lift and the part does not move during a long print; after cooling, the part comes off easily. It also protects the surface of the bed.

For speed

0.8 mm nozzle and hotend

The AD-F4 comes with a 0.6 mm nozzle, the right size for thin walls and fine detail. With a 0.8 mm nozzle the printer lays a wider bead and puts more material down per hour: thick walls and printed faces are finished in fewer passes. That is where the speed of a letter printer comes from: the flow of material, not only how fast the head moves.

0.6 mmstandard

Thin walls, fine detail, small letters.

0.8 mmoptional

More material per hour: large letters, thick walls, printed faces.

  • AD-F4 hotend kit with 0.8 mm nozzle

    AD-F4 hotend kit, 0.8 mm

The whole head with a 0.8 mm nozzle, ready to fit. Keep one head with the standard 0.6 mm nozzle and one with 0.8 mm, and change between them in a few minutes, depending on the job.

  • AD-F4 0.8 mm nozzle

    AD-F4 nozzle, 0.8 mm

The nozzle alone, in coated copper alloy, to fit on the existing hotend.
