About this machine
HSG 3015X Fibre Laser Cutting Machine
The HSG 3015X is a fully enclosed fibre laser cutting machine with interchangeable tables, sized for sheets up to 3000 × 1500 mm. It is built for steel and stainless steel sheet as well as coated metal sheet in various colours. The working area is 1500 × 3000 mm with 1525 × 3025 mm of axis travel, and the Z axis has 270 mm of travel, which leaves room for fixtures and for parts that are not flat. Each of the two tables takes a load of 800 kg, so one sheet can be cut while the next is being loaded.
The axes are driven by Inovance servo motors through Wittenstein Alpha rack and pinion transmission and Wittenstein Alpha reducers, both from Germany. Working speed reaches 140 m/min with 1.5 G of acceleration on a single axis and 2.5 G on combined axes. Table positioning is ±0.03 mm and repeatability 0.03 mm. The linear bearings are an ultra-ground class, 35 mm on the Y axis and 25 mm on X, with self-cleaning and automatic greasing so the guideways survive in a workshop full of slag dust.
The frame comes from a Shanghai Communications University design: robot welded at 600 °C, then quenched and stress relieved in a furnace for 24 hours, and carries a 20-year anti-deformation guarantee. The gantry carriage is aluminium, low-pressure die cast in a 10 t mould, which keeps the moving mass low enough to use the available acceleration without losing rigidity.
The HSG autofocus head is rated to 6 kW and carries seven lenses, three of them protective. The Raycus source is offered at 3 kW, 4 kW or 6 kW. A closed-circuit water chiller with heating is connected to the PLC, so the machine will not run if the cooling circuit is obstructed or if the source is outside its optimum temperature range. An electronic oxygen pressure regulator adjusts pressure in 0.1 bar steps and does so separately for the piercing and cutting stages, driven from the cutting profile under CNC control. Fume and slag are handled by an FTA (Italy) filtration system with four self-cleaning drums rated at 4500 m³/h.
Control is by CypCut 2000 with CAD and CAM functions, including on a standalone workstation, and nesting by CYPNEST under a licence valid for one year with annual renewal. The software holds cutting profiles for every sheet the machine can cut, listing speed, gas pressures, frequency, piercing times, gas type and nozzle, which shortens changeover when the shop moves from one sheet type to another. Automatic sheet edge detection and graphic auto-positioning place the nest on the plate as loaded. Installation needs 8900 × 2260 × 2200 mm for the machine and a footprint of 9800 × 3800 × 2900 mm overall; net weight is 7500 kg and the supply is 380 V three-phase at 32 kW with a 40/60 kVA voltage regulator included.
