About this machine

HSG HS-C3015 3000 W Fibre Laser Cutting Machine

The HS-C3015 is a 3000 W fibre laser cutting machine intended for intensive sheet metal work in three-shift operation. The working area is 1524 × 3048 mm in X and Y with 70 mm of Z-axis travel, and the whole machine occupies 4500 × 2500 × 1650 mm. The table takes a load of 800 kg and the machine itself weighs 3300 kg.

Motion comes from Inovance synchronous servo motors — 1.4 kW on the X and Y axes and 400 W on Z — working through Wittenstein Alpha reducers with an ×8 ratio. X and Y run on helical-toothed rack and pinion, Z on a ball screw, and the guideways are HiWin rails to DIN6 precision class: 30 mm on Y, 25 mm on X and 15 mm on Z. That combination supports a traverse of up to 120 m/min at 1.5 G acceleration, with table positioning of ±0.03 mm, positioning accuracy of ±0.05 mm and repeatability of ±0.03 mm/m.

Cutting is done with an HSG Klinge autofocus head carrying seven lenses, two of which are protective, fed from a Raycus source. Oxygen pressure is set electronically in 0.1 bar increments and gases are switched automatically through a solenoid valve, so pressure and gas changes follow the cutting profile rather than needing manual intervention at the regulator. Automatic sheet edge detection and graphic auto-positioning place the nest on the sheet as it actually lies on the table, which removes the need to square every plate by hand.

The machine runs on the Alpha T bus control system with HSG NEST nesting software. DXF files are supported together with array, draw, scale, merge, microjoint and compensation operations, and path optimisation includes leapfrog moves, cooling points and anti-collision. The control can be reached remotely over LAN or Wi-Fi, and lubrication is handled by a centralised automatic system. The fibre source is rated for a service life of 100,000 hours.

Power is 380 V three-phase at 50/60 Hz with a maximum draw of 43.5 kW and 60 kVA apparent power; a voltage regulator is supplied with the machine, which matters on sites where the mains supply is unstable. The machine suits subcontract fabricators and in-house production departments running continuous shifts on nested sheet work.

Applications

  • Subcontract sheet metal cutting in continuous three-shift production
  • Blanks and profiles for metal fabrication and enclosure work
  • Cabinet, housing and metal furniture components
  • Brackets, frames and structural machine parts
  • Metal signage, lettering and architectural panels
  • Nested short runs and prototypes prepared from DXF files
