PURE-AIR PA-FGS2400 Fume & Dust Extractor

The PA-FGS2400 is the largest model of PURE-AIR's FGS series — the range built specifically for the sticky dust produced when a CO₂ laser cuts wood, plywood and MDF. Resin and binder in the board turn the smoke tacky, and it cakes onto an ordinary pleated pre-filter within weeks. In the FGS series the first stage is a PTFE cartridge loaded with natural mineral powder: the dust sits on the powder rather than bonding to the media, and it releases when the cartridge is cleaned. Behind it, a HEPA H14 stage and an activated carbon bed deal with the sub-micron smoke and the burnt-wood smell. Airflow: 2400 m³/h.

Why not the FS series

An FS unit will extract the same volume of air, but its F9 pre-filter is not designed for resinous dust and will need replacing far more often. On wood and MDF the FGS pays for itself in consumables.
