About this machine
The PA-FS400i is a self-contained fume extraction unit for CO2 laser cutting and engraving of non-metals, and for resin-based additive manufacturing. A brushless high-negative-pressure fan pulls 400 m³/h at up to 8000 Pa, which is what it takes to clear smoke from the kerf rather than merely from the cabinet. Three progressive stages take out coarse particles, sub-micron smoke and finally the odour and solvent vapours that make an engraving shop unpleasant to work in, so the air can be discharged straight back into the room.

Intelligent version (PIPS)
This is the i version of the model. It adds the Pure-Air Intelligent Purification System: an industrial touch screen that shows real airflow and negative pressure in real time, a filter health manager that warns before a stage blocks, and automatic airflow compensation so extraction does not fade as the filter loads. I/O and RS-485 allow remote start/stop, linkage with the host machine or robot and centralised control of several units. PM2.5, VOC and O3 sensors are available as an option, and firmware updates are loaded from a TF card.
Important
If the machine cuts wood, plywood or MDF, choose the FGS series instead. That dust is resinous and sticky and will blind an F9 pre-filter in a fraction of its normal life.
Installation
Free-standing on castors next to the machine. Connect the machine's exhaust port to the inlet with flexible ducting kept as short and straight as possible - every extra bend costs suction. Allow 150 mm clearance at the outlet and keep the front accessible: all filter stages are changed from the front. Filtered air is discharged back into the room, so no outside duct is needed.
