IL330 Digital Label Die-Cutter

The IL330 is an integrated digital solution for cutting self-adhesive labels. Depending on configuration it carries six to nine cutting heads, and it performs die cutting, sheeting, roll-to-roll and roll-to-sheet processing in one automated flow, so a printed roll leaves the line as finished labels without an intermediate handling stage.

Registration is by CCD, with positioning noticeably faster than the previous generation, reading QR codes, colour marks and barcodes. Deviations are corrected automatically to 0.2 mm, cutting accuracy is ± 0.1 mm and repeatability ± 0.02 mm — close enough for the tight bleed allowances typical of cosmetic and pharmaceutical labels.

Knife pressure is adjusted automatically, which keeps the cut to the liner and not through it as the material or the blade condition changes. Laminating, waste stripping, missing-label detection and slitting are all built into the flow, and the die-cutting unit is a single casting, which keeps the frame rigid under the load of several heads working at speed.

The line takes material up to 350 mm wide with a maximum cutting width of 330 mm, rolls up to 500 mm in diameter, and repeat lengths from 10 mm up to 1200 mm, at a processing speed of up to 20 m/min. Cutting data is accepted directly in HPGL, DXF, AI, PDF and CF2. Supply is AC 220 V at 50/60 Hz with an installed power of 7.1 kVA, plus compressed air at 0.6 MPa; the machine measures 2000 × 1150 × 1600 mm and weighs 1500 kg.

It suits label printers running short and medium quantities who want die cutting straight from the file, without ordering and storing a forme for every shape.
