About this machine

The PA-DS500i extracts the fine metal oxide fume and plastic vapour produced by fibre and CO2 laser marking. Sized for a marking cell or an inline station on a production line. Marking fume is almost entirely sub-micron, so it is invisible and it does not settle - it stays in the air the operator breathes until something removes it. 500 m³/h at up to 10000 Pa.

Filtration

  • F9 pre-filter, 95% @ 1.0 um
  • H14 deeppleat filter, 99.99% @ 0.3 um
  • Treated activated carbon, approx. 12-30 kg

Key specifications

  • Airflow: 500 m³/h
  • Maximum negative pressure: 10000 Pa
  • Rated power: 1.1 kW
  • Power supply: 90-110 V / 210-257 V, 1 ph, 50/60 Hz
  • Noise level: below 62 dBA at 1 m
  • Dimensions (W x D x H): 550 x 562 x 1091 mm
  • Net weight: 72 kg
  • Inlet: 75 / 100 mm
  • Cabinet: Powder coated mild steel / brushed stainless steel

Recommended for

  • Fibre laser markers and engravers
  • UV and CO2 laser coders
  • Inline marking stations on assembly lines

Intelligent version (PIPS)

This is the i version of the model. It adds the Pure-Air Intelligent Purification System: an industrial touch screen that shows real airflow and negative pressure in real time, a filter health manager that warns before a stage blocks, and automatic airflow compensation so extraction does not fade as the filter loads. I/O and RS-485 allow remote start/stop, linkage with the host machine or robot and centralised control of several units. PM2.5, VOC and O3 sensors are available as an option, and firmware updates are loaded from a TF card.

Installation

Bench-top or on castors beside the marking station. Connect the extraction hood or the machine port to the inlet with a short flexible hose; on an enclosed marker, take the air from the enclosure's own port. Keep the hose run short - marking fume is fine and light, but capture velocity at the nozzle is what decides whether it reaches the unit at all.
