About this machine
The PA-DS1600 extracts the fine metal oxide fume and plastic vapour produced by fibre and CO2 laser marking. Sized for a marking cell or an inline station on a production line. Marking fume is almost entirely sub-micron, so it is invisible and it does not settle - it stays in the air the operator breathes until something removes it. 1600 m³/h at up to 10000 Pa.
Filtration
- F9 pre-filter, 95% @ 1.0 um
- H14 deeppleat filter, 99.99% @ 0.3 um
- Treated activated carbon, approx. 12-30 kg

Standard version (PPS)
This is the standard version, without the intelligent control package. From 15 September 2026 PURE-AIR supplies these units with a colour LCD touch screen and an upgraded control system. If the intelligent functions matter - real airflow readout, filter warnings, automatic compensation, RS-485 linkage - choose the i version of the same model.
Installation
Bench-top or on castors beside the marking station. Connect the extraction hood or the machine port to the inlet with a short flexible hose; on an enclosed marker, take the air from the enclosure's own port. Keep the hose run short - marking fume is fine and light, but capture velocity at the nozzle is what decides whether it reaches the unit at all.
- Clean air out · brushless fanpulls through every stage

Frequently asked questions
What is it for?
The PA-DS1600 extracts the fine metal oxide fume and plastic vapour from fibre and CO2 laser marking of stainless steel and other metals, engineering plastics, cartons, PET, PC, PCB and chips. It is sized for a marking cell or an inline station on a production line. It moves 1600 m³/h at up to 10,000 Pa and suits fibre laser markers and engravers, UV and CO2 laser coders, and inline marking stations on assembly lines.
How does the filtration work?
Three stages. An F9 pre-filter (95% @ 1.0 µm) takes the coarser particles, an H14 deeppleat filter (99.99% @ 0.3 µm) catches the sub-micron fume, and approx. 12–30 kg of treated activated carbon deals with vapour. Marking fume is almost entirely sub-micron: it is invisible and stays in the air the operator breathes until something removes it.
How do we connect it to the marker?
With a short flexible hose from the extraction hood or the machine port to a 150 mm inlet. On an enclosed marker, take the air from the enclosure's own port. Keep the hose run short: the fume is fine and light, but capture velocity at the nozzle decides whether it reaches the unit at all.
What does it need on site?
A 90–110 V or 210–257 V single-phase, 50/60 Hz supply for a rated power of 2.3 kW, and floor space for a unit of 720 × 769 × 1389 mm (W × D × H) weighing 164.5 kg net. Noise is below 65 dB(A) at 1 m. It stands beside the marking station, on castors or bench-top. It is not explosion-proof.
What is the difference between the PA-DS1600 and the PA-DS1600i?
Extraction and filtration are the same; the difference is the control. The PA-DS1600 has PPS standard control. From 15 September 2026 PURE-AIR supplies these units with a colour LCD touch screen and an upgraded control system. The PA-DS1600i adds real airflow and pressure readout, filter warnings, automatic airflow compensation, and I/O and RS-485 linkage with your machine or line.
