About this machine

TPS S1810 Automatic Channel Letter Bending Machine

TPS S1810 is the six-axis machine at the top of the range, and the only one that notches, flanges and punches in the same flow as it bends. All six axes run on full servo motors: the alternating clamping system advances the strip at high speed without losing position, and the alternating bending system closes the profile completely, so the letter comes off the machine already shaped.

CNC-controlled notching cuts the return angle anywhere between 15° and 120°, and the 14 mm flange folds the edge that the back plate will be fixed to — the two operations that otherwise force a second machine or hand work. Zigzag countersunk seam splicing closes the letter with a joint that is both tidier to look at and safer to install.

At 0.8–2.0 mm material thickness and 40–200 mm processing height, it covers large facade lettering that the lighter machines in the range cannot reach. TPS also offers a pneumatic stapler for finishing flanged aluminium letters and the LS60 desktop trimcap notcher as separate units alongside it.

Applications

  • Large-format illuminated letters for building facades and shopping centres
  • Volumetric logos and lettering in stainless steel, galvanised sheet and aluminium
  • Letters requiring a flanged return for back-plate fixing
  • Punched and resin letters in heavier gauges
  • Architectural and monument signage
