Jwei LST03II Series Digital Cutting Plotter (G-CUTTER)

The LST03II series are digital cutting plotters built for short-run packaging and label production without dies. The material is held on a vacuum worktable and a multifunction head cuts, creases and scores it in one pass, with a repeatability of ±0.1 mm, so a job can be left to run unattended once it has been set up.

The EOT head carries a mini electric oscillating knife and adds a slotting function and the PCT system, which together cover both fine sheet cutting and heavier board. The rest of the tool set — active and passive knives, kiss-cut tool, V-cut and creasing wheels, including a creasing wheel for corrugated board — is changed on the same head, so one machine handles cut, crease and score work on cardboard, grey board, self-adhesive vinyl, corrugated board, PVC and magnetic sheet.

A CCD camera registers the printed sheet visually and aligns the cut path to the print, which is what makes contour cutting of pre-printed work practical. The JWCS software includes a QR code system that opens the matching cut file automatically when a sheet is loaded, and a library of more than 1000 box templates that can be resized in one click and checked in 3D preview. Cut files come straight from Illustrator or CorelDRAW as DXF, PLT, XML or CF2, and the machine is driven over Ethernet.

Three sizes make up the series. The LST03II-0806 works an 800 × 600 mm area, the LST03II-0912 a 900 × 1200 mm area, and the LST-0604-RM is the compact version with a 600 × 400 mm area. The "-RM" versions are sold under the G-CUTTER name: G-CUTTER B2+ is the LST03II-0806-RM, which takes sheets from 210 × 297 mm up to 800 × 600 mm, feeds automatically from a stack of up to 100 mm or 30 kg, and has three individually switched vacuum zones and an infrared safety sensor. Dual V-Cut, PCT and a roll feeder are available as options.

Output is roughly 15 – 45 s per SRA3 sheet and about 70 s per B2 sheet, depending on the artwork, which suits box makers, label converters and print finishers producing personalised runs, samples and prototypes that do not justify the cost and lead time of a cutting die.
