Galaxy F96 Flatbed UV Printer - CQ Series

The Galaxy F96 (CQ series) is a compact UV flatbed printer with a 900 x 600 mm print area, designed for direct personalisation of rigid substrates. Automatic height measurement covers media from 1 to 100 mm thick, from thin sheets to bulky three-dimensional objects.

The machine is supplied with Epson i1600-U1 or Epson i3200-U1 print heads in 3- or 4-head configurations, with or without white and varnish channels. In the four-head CMYK configuration it reaches 65 m2/h.

The printer can be extended with a vision positioning camera for single-pass visual recognition of parts laid on the bed, a roll-to-roll unit for flexible media, and a height-adjustable mobile stand.

Configurations and speeds - throughput depends on the head type, the number of heads and the selected print mode. Values are in m2/h, with the print time for the full 900 x 600 mm bed in brackets.

Epson i1600-U1:

  • W+CMYK+V (3 heads): 11.5 m2/h at 6 pass (168 s), 8.8 m2/h at 8 pass (219 s), 5.8 m2/h at 12 pass (334 s)
  • W+2xCMYK+V (4 heads): 17 m2/h at 4 pass (114 s), 20.6 m2/h at 6 pass (94 s), 16.3 m2/h at 8 pass (108 s), 11.1 m2/h at 12 pass (175 s)

Epson i3200-U1:

  • W+CMYK+V (3 heads): 13 m2/h at 6 pass (149 s), 9 m2/h at 8 pass (216 s)
  • W+2xCMYK+V (4 heads): 34 m2/h at 4 pass (57 s), 26 m2/h at 6 pass (74 s), 18 m2/h at 8 pass (108 s)
  • 3xCMYK (3 heads): 51 m2/h at 4 pass (38 s), 39 m2/h at 6 pass (50 s), 28 m2/h at 8 pass (69 s)

W = white ink, V = varnish. Speeds are indicative and depend on the substrate, the artwork and the RIP settings.
