About this machine

The PA-FS800 is a self-contained fume extraction unit for CO2 laser cutting and engraving of non-metals, and for resin-based additive manufacturing. A brushless high-negative-pressure fan pulls 800 m³/h at up to 10000 Pa, which is what it takes to clear smoke from the kerf rather than merely from the cabinet. Three progressive stages take out coarse particles, sub-micron smoke and finally the odour and solvent vapours that make an engraving shop unpleasant to work in, so the air can be discharged straight back into the room.

Filtration

  • F9 deeppleat pre-filter, 95% @ 1.0 um, 12-30 m² of media
  • H14 deeppleat filter, 99.99% @ 0.3 um
  • Treated activated carbon, approx. 12-30 kg, for odour and VOC

Key specifications

  • Airflow: 800 m³/h
  • Maximum negative pressure: 10000 Pa
  • Rated power: 1.3 kW
  • Power supply: 90-110 V / 210-257 V, 1 ph, 50/60 Hz
  • Noise level: below 63 dBA at 1 m
  • Dimensions (W x D x H): 500 x 562 x 1040 mm
  • Net weight: 86 kg
  • Inlet: 100 / 125 mm
  • Cabinet: Powder coated mild steel / brushed stainless steel

Recommended for

  • CO2 laser cutters and engravers with a bed of 90x130 cm
  • CNC routers cutting acrylic, composites and plastics
  • Resin, SLA, DLP and FFF 3D printers

Standard version (PPS)

This is the standard version, without the intelligent control package. From 15 September 2026 PURE-AIR supplies these units with a colour LCD touch screen and an upgraded control system. If the intelligent functions matter - real airflow readout, filter warnings, automatic compensation, RS-485 linkage - choose the i version of the same model.

Important

If the machine cuts wood, plywood or MDF, choose the FGS series instead. That dust is resinous and sticky and will blind an F9 pre-filter in a fraction of its normal life.

Installation

Free-standing on castors next to the machine. Connect the machine's exhaust port to the inlet with flexible ducting kept as short and straight as possible - every extra bend costs suction. Allow 150 mm clearance at the outlet and keep the front accessible: all filter stages are changed from the front. Filtered air is discharged back into the room, so no outside duct is needed.

  1. Clean air out · brushless fanpulls through every stage
  2. Stage 3 · activated carbonholds VOC and odour
  3. Stage 2 · HEPA H1499.99% @ 0.3 µm
  4. Stage 1 · F9 pre-filterholds coarse dust
  5. Contaminated air inducted from the machine; dust drawer emptied from the front
Inside the cabinet. Only stage 1 changes between series: pleated F9 on FS, anti-stick PTFE on FGS and flame retardant PTFE on DFS.

Frequently asked questions

What is it for?

The PA-FS800 extracts smoke and fumes from CO2 laser cutting and engraving of non-metals: acrylic, paper and card, leather, textiles and technical plastics. It also suits CNC routers cutting acrylic, composites and plastics, and resin SLA, DLP and FFF 3D printers. A brushless fan pulls 800 m³/h at up to 10,000 Pa, enough to clear smoke from the kerf, not just from the cabinet.

Which laser size does it suit?

PURE-AIR recommends the PA-FS800 for CO2 laser cutters and engravers with a bed of 90 × 130 cm. It delivers 800 m³/h at up to 10,000 Pa through a 100 mm / 125 mm inlet. If your machine is a different size or you run several machines, send us the models and we will size the unit.

Can we use it for wood, plywood or MDF?

No. For wood, plywood or MDF choose the FGS series instead. That dust is resinous and sticky and will blind the F9 pre-filter of an FS unit in a fraction of its normal life. Keep the PA-FS800 for acrylic, plastics, paper, leather and textiles. Note also that it is not an explosion-proof unit.

How does the filtration work?

Three progressive stages. An F9 deeppleat pre-filter (95% @ 1.0 µm, 12–30 m² of media) takes out coarse particles, an H14 deeppleat filter (99.99% @ 0.3 µm) catches sub-micron smoke, and approx. 12–30 kg of treated activated carbon removes odour and VOC. The cleaned air goes straight back into the room, so no outside duct is needed.

What does it need on site?

A 90–110 V or 210–257 V single-phase, 50/60 Hz supply for a rated power of 1.3 kW, and floor space for a unit of 500 × 562 × 1040 mm (W × D × H) weighing 86 kg net. Noise is below 63 dB(A) at 1 m. It stands on castors next to the laser. Keep the duct short and straight, allow 150 mm clearance at the outlet and keep the front accessible, as all filter stages change from the front.

What control does it have?

The PA-FS800 is the standard version with PPS standard control. From 15 September 2026 PURE-AIR supplies these units with a colour LCD touch screen and an upgraded control system. If you want real airflow readout, filter warnings, automatic compensation or RS-485 linkage with your laser, choose the i version of the same model.
