Jwei SL Series Digital Cutting Table

The SL series is a large-format industrial platform for cutting and finishing rigid and flexible materials. A single multifunction head takes an electric oscillating knife, a rotary knife, a router, a creasing wheel, a plotting pen and a V-cut tool, all changed plug-and-play, so one pass over the bed can cut, fold-crease, rout and draw the same part.

Motion is driven by linear motors with magnetic levitation on linear rails rather than by belts, which is what allows an operating speed of up to 3000 mm/s while holding repeatability below 0.05 mm and cutting shapes as small as 1 mm. Positioning is handled by a laser system that aligns the job without contacting the material, and the CAD software recognises material edges automatically, so setup time on each new sheet is short.

The SL-3232 works a 3250 × 3200 mm area on a strong-suction vacuum bed, measures 4550 × 4250 × 1400 mm and weighs 4000 kg, drawing 23 kW from a 380 V ±10% supply. Control is by bus controller with intelligent CAD software, and the machine accepts jobs over Ethernet in HP-GL compatible format. Cutting thickness reaches 50 mm, depending on the material and the tool fitted.

Protection is arranged in four layers: a proximity sensor, an emergency stop, infrared protection and a lift-type mechanical guard. The series is intended for large digital production workshops handling signage, advertising graphics and POSM, rigid materials such as PVC, ABS, ACM, acrylic, KT board and foam board, and flexible media such as self-adhesive vinyl, magnetic sheet, backlit film and roll stock.
