RJ-1224 CNC Stone Machining Router
The RJ-1224 is a CNC router set up for stone rather than for board: marble, granite, Dekton, ceramic, neolith and similar materials, as well as ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The working area is 1200 × 2400 mm with 300 mm of vertical travel, and the frame is open, so a slab longer than the table can be passed through and machined in stages — the machine limits the width of the work, not its length.
Cutting is done by an electrospindle turning at 24,000 rpm, available at 3, 4.5 or 6 kW depending on how much material has to be removed. The machine routes, drills, cuts, mills vertically and horizontally with profiled cutters, smooths edges and engraves, so a worktop can be sized, its edge profiled and its cut-outs made in one set-up.
Motion is by rack and pinion on the long Y axis and by ball screw on X, with German ball screws, driven by stepper motors from a DSP controller. Supply is 380 V three-phase at 50 Hz.
Programmes are loaded over USB, by cable or from a memory stick. The control accepts most vector file formats and will also import photographs and vectorise them for machining, which is how relief work is prepared; three-dimensional shapes are cut in successive layers, so bas-relief and sculptural detail can be taken from a single model. Engraving runs at roughly 15 seconds per character.
Typical output is worktops, memorial stones, furniture elements and architectural decoration. The equipment carries a warranty of one year or 2000 operating hours.
