About this machine
AEON Mira5 S
The Mira5 S is the smallest machine in AEON's Redline family — a desktop CO₂ laser with a 500 × 300 mm work area, an integrated chiller and a choice of Glass or RF source. It is built for studios that need professional engraving and cutting quality without dedicating a room to it.
Source choice
A Glass tube (45 W or 60 W) is the economical choice for cutting acrylic, wood and leather. An RF tube (30 W or 60 W) engraves at up to 3,400 mm/s with a far finer spot, which is what you want for photographic detail and small lettering. Both are current options — the RF is not simply a newer version of the Glass source, it is a different tool.
Built in, not bolted on
Chiller, air assist and camera are integrated. The 160° 5 MP camera places the job on the material on screen, AutoFocus sets the Z height, and the honeycomb and slat tables swap over for engraving or cutting.
Extraction
CO₂ cutting produces fume. Extraction is required for PVC, ABS, polycarbonate, rubber and composites — see our fume extraction units for laser and CNC.
