AEON beam combiner
A half-mirror that merges the visible red guide line with the invisible CO₂ beam, so the operator can see where the machine will fire and align the head by eye.
ZnSe, 2 mm thick, with a clear aperture of more than 90%: anti-reflective at 10.6 µm and highly reflective between 500 and 700 nm. Diameter and thickness tolerance is ±0.1 mm.
Available in Ø20 (0.78") and Ø25 (0.98").

What does the beam combiner do?
It lets you see where the machine will fire. The CO₂ beam is invisible, so this half-mirror merges a visible red guide line into the same path as the beam. With the red line sitting on the beam, you can align the head by eye.
Which diameter should we order?
The diameter already fitted in your machine: Ø20 mm (0.78") or Ø25 mm (0.98"). Apart from the diameter, the two versions share the same specification, 2 mm thick with a ±0.1 mm tolerance on diameter and thickness. If you are not sure which one your machine uses, send us the machine model and we will confirm before you order.
What is it made of and how is it coated?
Zinc selenide (ZnSe), 2 mm thick, with a clear aperture of more than 90%. The coating is anti-reflective at 10.6 µm, so the CO₂ beam passes through, and highly reflective between 500 and 700 nm, which is how the visible red guide light is turned onto the same path as the beam.
