About this machine

NL-130 Automatic Aluminium Channel Letter Bending Machine

NL-130 is an automatic bending machine for aluminium channel letters, built for sign workshops that make rimless letters, trim-cap letters and letters from aluminium profile. It works with aluminium strip 0.3–1.2 mm thick and up to 130 mm wide, and takes DXF, AI and PLT files directly.

The software sets the cutting depth on its own, with no manual adjustment between letters, and the depth is adjusted from the front of the machine rather than from the back as on traditional systems. The alloy cutter cuts on the front and the back of the strip and swivels with no angle limit, so notches between 45° and 120° — and any angle on flat strip — are cut cleanly, including on thicker aluminium.

The bending device uses twin copper shafts: small arcs are formed by tapping, for precision on small letters, and large arcs by extrusion, for speed on large ones, without damaging the strip. A closed-loop software and encoder system controls the exact feed length, so the finished letter follows the source file. An additional work table for letter assembly and one-key start, feed and retract keep the operator productive.

Frequently asked questions

Which letters can the NL-130 make?

Rimless and trim-cap aluminium channel letters, letters from aluminium profile and aluminium with foam tape (Channelume type), liquid acrylic and resin letters, 3D letters and letters with side perforation.

Which materials and sizes does it take?

Flat aluminium strip, aluminium trim-cap strip, aluminium profile with a folded edge and aluminium profile with foam tape — 0.3 to 1.2 mm thick and up to 130 mm wide (profile height).

How are the notches and corners made?

An alloy cutter cuts on the front and the back of the strip and swivels with no angle limit. Notching runs from 45° to 120°, with no angle limit on flat strip, and the software sets the cutting depth automatically. The bending radius is above 5 mm.

How does it keep the letter true to the file?

The strip feed runs in a closed loop with software and an encoder, so the feed length is controlled exactly and the finished letter follows the source file. Small arcs are formed by tapping and large arcs by extrusion on twin copper shafts, without damaging the strip.

Which files does it work with?

DXF, AI and PLT files.

What does it need on site?

A 220 V supply for 1000 W total power, compressed air at 0.3 – 0.8 MPa, and floor space for 2000 × 900 × 1550 mm. The machine weighs 300 kg.
