Jwei RSF-330 Digital Label Finishing System

The RSF-330 is an all-in-one digital finishing system for self-adhesive labels that replaces conventional die-cutting. Working dieless means there is no tooling to pay for and no wait while a cutter is made, so a job can go from approved file to finished roll the same day. In one pass the line unwinds, guides the web, laminates, cuts to contour, strips the waste matrix, rewinds and slits.

It runs both roll-to-roll and roll-to-sheet, so the same machine delivers a rewound roll for an applicator or cut sheets for hand application, depending on the order. Material width is up to 330 mm and the cutting area is 330 × 1000 mm. Eight groups of digital cutting heads work at up to 18 m/min on contours, and nine groups of slitting heads run at up to 60 m/min.

Registration is handled by a CCD camera and sensor that read square marks, dots, QR codes and barcodes, correcting the cutting position automatically to within 0.2 mm; repeatability is 0.1 mm. Cutting data is taken directly in HPGL, DXF, AI, PDF and CF2, which are the formats prepress already produces, so no intermediate conversion step is needed.

The unwind takes rolls up to 500 mm in diameter. Supply is AC 220 V at 50/60 Hz with an installed power of 2.5 kW, plus compressed air at 0.6 MPa. The line measures 2000 × 1150 × 1600 mm and weighs 1300 kg.

It suits digital label printers producing short and medium runs, frequent versions and seasonal variants, where the cost and lead time of a rotary die would outweigh the value of the order.
