RJ-1118 CNC Rotary Router

The RJ-1118 is built for turned work rather than flat sheet. Its rotary attachment holds cylindrical pieces from 4 to 200 mm in diameter and up to 1000 mm long, which is the range that covers balusters, columns, table legs, decorative posts and turned signage elements. Rotary accuracy is better than 0.05 mm and resolution is 0.05 mm, so a carved profile repeats around the circumference instead of drifting.

The bed is welded as a rigid structure. On a machine that spends its time cutting into rotating stock, the frame is what keeps the tool where the program put it; a bolted or folded frame will flex under an interrupted cut and leave the chatter in the surface.

Two 2 kW spindle motors are fitted, which is what lets the machine take a real depth of cut in hardwood rather than nibbling at it, and lets two pieces be cut in one pass.

Control is through a DSP panel, so the machine runs from the file on its own once the job is loaded, without a PC tied to it on the shop floor. It reads G-Code and HPGL and works with ArtCAM, Type3 and Ucancam. Supply is AC 220 V, 50/60 Hz.

The rotary attachment itself takes 400 mm diameter and 1000 mm of length and weighs 56 kg.
